品牌小故事
Celestion is one of the all-time greats of loudspeaker design.....
This is mainly because we've always preferred to follow our own design instincts rather than convention. Our first product was one of the earliest cone loudspeakers, based on a radical new cone design patented soon after the BBC began broadcasting in 1922. Within three years, we launched the world's first large diaphragm speaker; by the end of the decade, Celestion was already established as the high-end loudspeaker brand.
By 1950, the Celestion logo was on well over half the new speakers in Britain. During the rock'n roll years, our designs allowed music lovers to enjoy new audio technologies like the stereo LP. We pioneered the metal dome tweeter. And at a time when performance was judged by cabinet size, we introduced the concept of the quality bookshelf hi-fi speaker. Musicians preferred Celestion, too. Together with the hundreds of other sixties bands, The Beatles played through Celestion guitar speakers.
Today, of course, audio formats are much more sophisticated. But our approach is the same - we're still constantly exploring new materials and technologies to give recorded sound the magic of live performance. The result is a range of superbly engineered speakers with real depth and integrity. Uncannily lucid. Gloriously musical. Stunning to look at.
